LAKE TWP.: Loyalville United Methodist Church, Loyalville Road, will serve a Christmas meal at noon Tuesday for anyone who might be alone or away from family for the holiday.


Reservations can be made by calling the church at 477-3521. There is no charge for the meal but a free-will offering will be accepted.


LARKSVILLE: St. John the Baptist Church, 126 Nesbitt St., will conduct a Christmas play A Candle in the Window: Living Nativity 2012 at 4 p.m. Monday The Christmas Eve vigil will follow.


NANTICOKE: First Primitive Methodist Church of Nanticoke will conduct a Christmas play One Starry Night at 10 a.m. Sunday during the morning worship service.


There is a Nativity scene collection to view. Refreshments will follow. Info: the Rev. Kyle Gildner, 735-2726.


SHAVERTOWN: God's Missionary Church, 275 Jackson Church Road, will welcome the Baker family at the 10:30 a.m. service Sunday.


The Rev. and Mrs. Frederick Baker from Pearisburg, Va., along with their daughter, Chloe, will share in the morning worship service.


MOUNTAIN TOP: St. Paul's Lutheran Church has announced the following:


• The Metropolitan Lutheran Council of the church will be collecting hats, scarves, gloves and socks to be distributed to various youth centers throughout the Wyoming Valley area during the Advent season. Items will be accepted until Jan. 1.


• A healing service will be held at 11 a.m. Jan. 2. A potluck luncheon will follow.


• The Yarn Spinners will be meeting at 1 p.m. on Jan. 2. A discussion of 2013 projects will be held.


PITTSTON: First Baptist Church of Pittston invites the entire community, especially the homeless and all those who are in need, to a free Christmas dinner from 3-7 p.m. today at the church, Water Street.


The dinner will include pasta and meatballs, salad, and dessert. There will be giveaways for adults and children.


Anyone who would like to attend, is requested to call the church office at 654-0283.


SWEET VALLEY: Sweet Valley Church of Christ, 5439 Main Road, will hold a Christmas Eve children's musical Angel Alert! at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 24. Info: 477-2320.


WILKES-BARRE: Unity of NEPA: A Spiritual Center in Wilkes-Barre has announced the following events:


Jan. 6: David Beverly is guest speaking at Unity. Service begins at 10 a.m.


Jan. 7 and 21: Oneness meditation with Ernie Pappa from 7-8:30 p.m.


Jan. 9: Modeling Abundance Consciousness Webinar at 7 p.m. The Rev. Chris Michaels will be broadcast from Unity Worldwide Ministries from 7 – 9 p.m. A love offering will be taken.


Jan. 12 : The Shift will be presented for the Spiritual Cinema. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Love offering will be taken.


Jan. 13: The Burning Bowl Service with the Rev. Diane Sickler at 10 a.m. Let go of 2012 and embrace 2013.
