(AP) An eclectic trove of memorabilia from the famed 1970s New York nightclub Studio 54 is hitting the auction block in Florida.

The private collection of co-founder Steve Rubell is being sold Saturday in West Palm Beach. Rubell died in 1989 and aside from a legacy as a nightlife impresario, he left behind hordes of photographs, letters and other memories that his onetime companion has decided to part with.

The items give a glimpse of Studio 54 and its parade of A-list guests. Aside from a trove of photographs, there are original works by Andy Warhol, tickets, invitations, posters and Rubell's personal address book. Also up for grabs is the front-door guest book from 54, full of famous names and notations on whether their tabs were being footed by the club.
