SWOYERSVILLE – The tax collector will issue 2013 real estate taxes Jan. 31. The tax office will be open for collection during the discount period from 9 a.m. to noon Saturdays and from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays.

The discount period will end Saturday, March 30.

Taxpayers submitting by mail and wishing for receipt should include a stamped, self-addressed envelope. A mail slot for tax payments is available at the borough building, which is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Home collections service is available by appointment. WARRIOR RUN – Residents may buy borough 2013 refuse stickers from 10 a.m. until noon on Saturdays Jan. 19 and Jan. 28, Feb. 16 and Feb. 23. To purchase stickers by mail, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope with payment to Warrior Run Borough, c/o 579 Front St., Warrior Run, PA 19706. Trash should be placed curbside for pickup Tuesdays starting at 7 a.m. Weekly limits are two cans or four bags per household. If trash is not picked up, concerned residents should call Gittens at 868-6462 to arrange pickup. Stickers cost $180. After Feb. 28, stickers will cost $215 at the penalty rate. Stickers are mandatory and must be clearly displayed. After March 5, residents without tickets will not have their trash collected and the borough will issue citations.
