Kingston American Legion Post 395 recently hosted its annual Pearl Harbor Observance Day dinner meeting at the post home. The observance is held every year to mark the anniversary of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941. Martin Flannery, president, spoke about the significance of the observance of the attack that killed 2,400 servicemen, including sailors, marines and soldiers, and plunged the United States into World War II.
