(AP) Megan Deines and Shoni Schimmel each scored 16 points to help No. 7 Louisville beat Gonzaga 55-42 on Wednesday night in the semifinals of the Hardwood Tournament of Hope.

Louisville (5-0) led by eight at the half before Gonzaga cut it to 44-40 with 8:12 left. That's as close as the Bulldogs would get as the Cardinals scored the next 11 points.

Schimmel had seven points during the burst as the Bulldogs went without a point for over 8 minutes. Danielle Walter's layup with 2 seconds left ended the drought.

Taelor Karr led Gonzaga (5-1) with nine points. The Zags shot just 30 percent from the field.

Louisville will face Oregon State in the championship game Thursday. The Beavers beat Winthrop 68-64.
