More bloodshed followed the fatal shooting of Leroy Michael Smith in the East End section of Wilkes-Barre last month.
A man was critically shot in the chest while attending Smith's viewing at a funeral home in Queens, N.Y., on Jan. 23, according to published reports.
Smith, 42, whose last-known address was on North Empire Street, Wilkes-Barre, was found fatally shot in front of 131 Scott St. on Jan. 17.
A second shooting victim, Jamel Martin, 20, of South Welles Street, Wilkes-Barre, died later that afternoon at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center.
Autopsies showed Smith died of multiple gunshot wounds and Martin died of a gunshot wound to the head, the Luzerne County Coroner's Office said.
No charges have been filed in the double homicide.
Luzerne County District Attorney Stefanie Salavantis could not be reached for comment about the investigation.
After the deadly shootings, friends of Smith placed flowers, candles and a red bandanna with his nickname, Tone, and the words, Loved and never forgotten at the scene.
The New York Daily News and the Queens Chronicle newspapers recently reported that a 31-year-old man was shot in the chest while attending Smith's viewing at the Elcock Funeral Home in Richmond Hill, Queens, on Jan. 23.
The newspapers reported the gunman fired at least three rounds at the man.
The Queens Chronicle reported the shooting is believed to be gang-related and connected in some way to the incident in Pennsylvania.
A call to the captain of detectives at the New York City Police Department's Queens Precinct was not returned Monday.
