Mattern, Tomko

Holly Mattern and Robert Tomko Jr., together with their families, announce their engagement and upcoming marriage.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Jill Hoeffner Mattern and the late Steven Mattern, York. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hoeffner, Scranton.

The prospective groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bob Tomko, Dallas. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Tomko, Wilkes-Barre, and Shirley Duffy and the late Thomas Duffy, Lehman.

Holly is a 2005 graduate of West York Area High School. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in history from King's College.

Robert is a 2006 graduate of Dallas High School. He is employed at Martz Trailways.

The couple will exchange vows on Oct. 5, 2013, at Our Lady of Hope Parish, Wilkes-Barre.
