McAvoy, Tranguch

Tracy Helen Tranguch, formerly of Hazleton, Pa., and Matthew Patrick McAvoy, formerly of Binghamton, N.Y., were united in marriage Nov. 24, 2012, at Montego Bay, Jamaica, with their family and friends by their side.

The bride is the daughter of Anthony and Joanne Tranguch, Mountain Top, Pa., and Gail Brunette, Raleigh, N.C. She is the granddaughter of the late Anthony and Jean Tranguch, Hazleton, Pa., and the late Viola Martin Brunette, Wade, N.C.

The groom is the son of William and Lorraine McAvoy, Endicott, N.Y., and Arlene McAvoy, Charlotte, N.C.

The bride was escorted down the aisle and given in marriage by her father. She chose her sister, Michele Tranguch Ellis, Fayetteville, N.C., as her matron of honor, and her niece, Ciara Ellis, Chapel Hill, N.C., to sing Ave Maria. Sophia and Olivia Tranguch, New York, N.Y., served as the flower girls.

The groom chose his brother, Kyle McAvoy, Charlotte, N.C., as his best man. Anthony Tranguch III, New York, N.Y., brother of the bride, served as his usher.

Nina O'Neil, Delran, N.J., cousin of the groom, gave the first reading of the ceremony. Pia Tranguch, New York, N.Y., sister-in-law of the bride, gave the second reading.

Family and friends of the couple enjoyed Montego Bay, Jamaica, by having a sunset wedding ceremony followed by a steel pan drums band cocktail party and ended the night with a dinner reception overlooking the Caribbean.

The bride is a 1999 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is a specialty pharmaceutical sales representative.

The groom is a 1999 graduate of SUNY Oneonta and is a medical sales device representative He was in the U.S. Army and served in South Korea for two years.

Tracy and Matt live in Charlotte, N.C. and are living happily ever after...
