Jonathan Cole, 24, was arraigned Thursday on four counts of possession with intent to manufacture a controlled substance, two counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, and one count each of possession of a controlled substance, risking a catastrophe, illegal dumping of methamphetamine waste, criminal conspiracy and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for lack of $35,000 bail.
Drug agents with the state Office of Attorney General's Bureau of Narcotics Investigation served a search warrant for a room at the Melody Motel on state Route 115, Plains Township, on Wednesday.
Found inside the motel room were ingredients used to manufacture methamphetamine, according to charges filed.
Cole and his pregnant girlfriend were stopped while driving a vehicle in the Shickshinny area. Agents allegedly found seven grams of methamphetamine in Cole's pocket.
