Michael (Mickey) Seman, Jr., of Nanticoke, passed away Saturday at home.


Born on July 9, 1946, in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Michael Seman, Sr. and Helen Sopp Seman. He was a graduate of Hanover High School and held an associates degree from Penn State University. Mickey had tryouts with major league baseball teams as a pitcher. He had been employed by Kodak Corp. Mr. Seman owned and operated Seman Tire Co. in Hanover Township, a company his father had founded.


He is survived by his wife, the former Constance Bogdon; sisters, Mrs. Harry (Rhoda) Lasinski and Mrs. Ronald (Rhonda) Koslosky; son, Christopher; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.



Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. from the Stanley S. Stegura Funeral Home, Inc., 614 S. Hanover St., Nanticoke, with Divine Liturgy in Ss. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, Plymouth, at 11 a.m. Rev. Volodymyr Popyk will celebrate Parasta services today at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Friends may call 5 p.m. until time of services. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
