WILKES-BARRE -- Kaitlin Michaels put together a triple-double as King's won a Freedom Conference contest at home, defeating Delaware Valley 75-69 in women's basketball Wednesday.
Michaels finished the game with 11 points, 11 rebounds and 13 assists. Ashley Davies totaled 11 points and 11 rebounds for the Monarchs, while Lindsay Atchison added 10 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks.
Keyton Winder exploded for 32 points in 34 minutes of action as King's proved to be too much for Delaware Valley.
Kyle Hammonds added 17 points for King's, while Matt Fiorino and Tim O'Shea added 12 and 10 points, respectively.
DeMarquis Holley (141), Christian Mazzocchi (149) and Peter Dwyer (285) each picked up wins, including Dwyer by major decision, but it wasn't enough as King's lost to 21st-ranked College of New Jersey in a meet held Tuesday.
