CENTERVILLE, Mass. – Wilkes junior linebacker Tate Moore-Jacobs was named to the 2012 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) South All-Star Team as announced by the organization on Wednesday.
It's the second honor for Moore-Jacobs since the end of the season. He was named to the All-MAC first team for the third consecutive year. Moore-Jacobs continued to prove why he's regarded as the best linebacker in the MAC finishing second in the league with 105 total tackles including a conference-best 49 solo stops.
He averaged over 10.5 tackles per-game for the second time in his career while breaking the 300 tackle mark midway through the season. He currently stands with 345 career tackles playing in all 30 games for the Colonels during that stretch (11.5 tackles per-game). Moore-Jacobs caused havoc in the opponent's backfields as well finishing with 12 tackles-for-loss (10th in the MAC), while adding two interceptions in pass coverage. The New Cumberland native also led the MAC recovering three fumbles while forcing one on his own.
