WRIGHT TWP. - Township police and Luzerne County detectives filed sexual assault charges against a man accused of having sexual contact with two females under age 16.

David Troy Zarn, 46, of Mountain Top, was arraigned by District Judge Ronald Swank on four counts each of aggravated indecent assault and involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, and two counts each of child endangerment and corruption of minors. He was released after posting $50,000 bail.

Zarn was accompanied by his attorney, Michael Sklarosky, when he surrendered on the charges.

Authorities filed the charges against Zarn after two girls known to him claimed he sexually assaulted them from 2006 to 2012.

One of the girls sent text messages about the alleged assaults to her boyfriend, whose mother reported the messages to police in September, according to the criminal complaint.
