Kennedy Wood, 7, Shavertown, recently competed at the Talent Olympics Dance Competition in the Poconos. She won the Little Miss Dance Award, which is given to the dancer with the highest score in a solo routine. Wood competed in the 7-9 age category. She also won first place for her tap and jazz routine; first place for her pantomime duo; and second place in her hip hop duo. Wood, the daughter of Robyn and Nick Wood, is a student of the David Blight School of Dance, Wilkes-Barre. She is also a member of the Hot Tamales competition group.



Brennen Johnson, 1 1, recently won the Hip Hop Champ jacket in the junior division at the Talent Olympics Dance Competition held at the Fernwood Hotel and Resort in the Poconos. Johnson also received an honorable mention for his tap solo. He is a member of the Cracker Jacks, an all boys group, and a dance student at the David Blight School of Dance, Wilkes-Barre. His instructor is Chrissy Howe. Johnson is the son of Jeremiah Johnson, West Auburn, and Theresa Shaffer, Ashley.
