The Nanticoke Rotary Club recently presented dictionaries to every third-grade student in the Greater Nanticoke Area School District. The Rotary sponsors this project annually to help the students become better readers and writers. Curt and Lisa Smith were co-chairs of the project and Tatianna Alicea, president of the high school Interact Club, assisted. At the Greater Nanticoke Area Elementary Center, from left, first row, are Richard Matthews, Dominic Buckingham and Josiah Coulter. Second row: Benjamin Bugdonovitch, Ariaunna Harris, Olivia Lore and Jonathan Orellana. Third row: Irene Carey, president of the Rotary; Joseph Shiptoski, sergeant at arms; and Mary Ann Shiptoski.
