EDWARDSVILLE: The Edwardsville Senior Center, 57 Russell St., will have a bag lunch today. The center will be closed for managers monthly meeting. A representative from the Visiting Angels will offer winter safety tips at 11 a.m. on Thursday. Also on Thursday, a staff member from Rep. Gerald Mullery's office will be available from 10 a.m. to noon and a special lunch will be served for Veteran's Day. The center will be closed on Monday in honor of Veterans Day. Blood pressure screening will be provided by Manorcare at 10:30 a.m. on Nov. 14.

FALLS: The Falls Senior Center, State Route 92, will host Marian Lehman, a nurse from Bayada Nurses, at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday. She will discuss chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. There will be a free blood pressure screening by Julie Grodis, a nurse from Golden Living Center, at 11:15 a.m. on Thursday. Maylene from M&T Bank will discuss direct deposit from 10 a.m. to noon on Thursday. Sue Chapin from Clarks Summit Senior Living will speak on veterans' attendant benefits and aid on Nov. 14

KINGSTON: The Kingston Senior Center, 680 Wyoming Ave., is offering a bag lunch today. The center will remain open for all regular activities. Events on Thursday include a special Veterans Day lunch; the final session of the Penn State Nutrition Link at 10 a.m.; blood pressure checks by Manor Care; and a presentation by Mary Lou Zerfoss on the Foster Grandparents Program at noon. The center will be closed on Monday in observance of Veterans Day.

MOUNTAIN TOP: The Mountain Top Social Club will meet on Nov. 13 in St. Jude Church at the Father Nolan Hall Day Room. Doors will open at 3:15 pm. Bakers are Solina Haravitch, Toni Furcon and Jackie Gallagher. New members are welcome.

A Christmas party is set for Dec. 4 at the Chalet, Route 309, Mountain Top. Times and price available at the meeting.

PLYMOUTH: The Senior Citizen's Friendship Club of St. Mary's met recently. The 50-50 winners were Lorraine Loftus, Barbara Orlowski and Regina Pietryzko. Special project winners were Romaine Volovicz and Ann Januszewski. The next meeting will be at 1 p.m. on Nov. 12 at the Holy Child School Building on Willow Street. Servers are Leona Roskowski, Phyllis Saluski, Florence Shaw, Dolores Stabulis and Midge Malshefski.

PLYMOUTH: The Plymouth Shawnee Senior Citizens will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday in the First Welsh Baptist Church, Girard and West Shawnee avenues. The Rev. Anita J. Ambrose, president, will preside. Seniors are reminded to bring a sandwich. The executive board will meet at 12:30 p.m.

WILKES-BARRE: Members of St. Robert E. Bellarmine Senior Club will meet at 1 p.m. on Nov. 14 in the former St. Aloysius school cafeteria on Barney Street. Winner of the springer at the last meeting was Dorothy Christian. Fifty-fifty winners were Dorothy Sullivan, Regina Korba and Bernadine Niemenski.

The club's Christmas party will be held at 1 p.m. on Dec. 5 at R&D Memories in Lyndwood.

Bakers for the meeting are Betty Farrell, Arline Gritsko, Rosemary Galardi and Bernadine Elick. New members are welcome.

WYOMING: The Wyoming, West Wyoming Seniors will meet at 1:30 p.m. today in the St. Monica meeting rooms. Nomination of officers will be held for the year 2013.

Fifty-fifty winners from the last meeting were Ann Kosloski, Charlotte Piezala, Micky DeSalvo, Elinor Yurek and Frank Perfinski. Bingo jackpot winner was Micky DeSalvo.

Celebrating October birthdays are Regina Spitale, Helen Markert, Nancy Marcy and Eleanor Seneski.

Election for new officers will be held on Nov. 20. A representative from M&T Bank will speak on fraud and financial abuse of seniors.
