EXETER: The Wyoming Area School District is hosting its annual Veterans Day program at noon on Wednesday at the Wyoming Area Secondary Center, 20 Memorial Street.
Members of local service organizations and Wyoming Area veterans will be honored guests at a luncheon. An assembly before the entire student body will take place after the luncheon. All veterans in the Wyoming area are invited.

MOUNTAIN TOP: The basic two-part AARP Driver Safety Class will be given from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Nov. 13 and Nov. 15 at the Kirby Library, 35 Kirby Avenue. Both sessions are required if an individual has not previously taken the course. A refresher course will be given from noon-4 p.m. on Nov. 19 at the Kirby Library.
These courses are being offered free of charge to veterans. The cost for non-veterans is $14 per person or $12 for AARP members. They are open to anyone, but those who are 60 years of age and older may be eligible for a five percent auto insurance discount for the next three years. These courses need to be renewed every three years.
Participants should bring pens, a driver's license, a check payable to AARP and their AARP membership card, if applicable. Class size is limited to 25 people, so reservations should be made as soon as possible by calling Leslie Loomis, instructor, at 678-7522.
WEST WYOMING: The West Wyoming American Legion Morning Star Post 904 will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday in the meeting room of the West Wyoming Hose Company No. 1. Commander Jerome Domkoski will preside. Plans for the upcoming Christmas party to be held on Dec. 16 will be discussed.
Members of the legion will meet at noon on Wednesday at Wyoming Area High School for the annual dinner.
