HARVEYS LAKE: Harveys Lake American Legion Post 967 Sons of the American Legion will meet at 7:30 tonight at the post home, 4907 Memorial Highway.

All members are urged to attend. Food will be served after the meeting.

NEWPORT TWP.: The Chester F. Strzalka Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8353 will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday in the American Legion Post 539, 62 Newport St., Glen Lyon. Commander John F. Pickle will preside.

SWEET VALLEY: Rep. Karen Boback (R-Columbia/Luzerne/Wyoming) is hosting veterans' assistance hours from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday at her Sweet Valley district office, 5929 Main Road.

A claims consultant from the Wilkes-Barre Veterans of Foreign Wars will be available to answer questions and concerns of local veteran and their families.

Appointments are not necessary, but a courtesy call can be made to 477-3752.

SWOYERSVILLE: Andrew Lawrence American Legion Post 644, 259 Shoemaker St., is holding its monthly meeting at 6 tonight.

All members are encouraged to attend and should note the change in time from 7 p.m.
