Sadie Ann Coyne and Sean Patrick O'Day, together with their parents, announce their engagement and upcoming marriage.


The bride-to-be is the daughter of Brian and Joanne Coyne, Scranton. She is the granddaughter of John R. Coyne, Scranton; the late Helen M. Coyne; and the late John B. and Rosemarie Mackarey, West Scranton.


Sadie Ann is a 2007 graduate of Scranton Preparatory High School. She earned a bachelor's degree in rehabilitation and human services from Pennsylvania State University. She is a caseworker for Lackawanna County Children and Youth Services.


The prospective groom is the son of Dennis and Kathleen O'Day, Edwardsville. He is the grandson of James A. O'Day Sr.; the late Dorothy C. O'Day; and the late Joseph N. and Rita A. Riebel.


Sean is a 2006 graduate of Bishop O'Reilly High School. He earned an associate's degree in exercise science from Luzerne County Community College and a bachelor's degree in health and human services from Marywood University. He is a rehabilitation technician at Little Flower Manor Nursing Home, Wilkes-Barre.


The happy couple will exchange vows on Sept. 14, 2013, at St. Ann's Basilica Parish Church, Scranton. A reception will be held after the ceremony at Montdale Country Club, Jermyn.
