Of superheroes and, um, bunnies

I'm down to detailing, and that's often the most fun. I can rummage through characters and pieces and start mixing and matching. This year, Superheroes came to the rescue of clearly overwhelmed dinosaur fighters. Well, superheroes and a few others.
Technically, the Toy Story T-rex character means there are three Lego variations of the big dino on this layout. Woody and Bullseye joined the riding camp
With Wonder Woman (and Thor) helping out, I can deadpan about Lego's invisible airplane kit that goes with the Amazon super heroine, pointing to where there is obviously nothing. Amazingly, this has worked once or twice.
Hulk smashes, Wolverine slashes, and Superman ... well, I haven't decided how to use him yet. but Iron Man was easy. Into the jaws of a giant first gen dino mouth.
Harry Potter is flying in on his griffin Buckbeak, launching off the top of a cave now commandeered by Jabba the Hutt while Fluffy wins Best 3-headed canine in dog show.
Luke Skywalker rides in to save the day, but Leia laid back in Emma's splash pool, now part of the riding camp complex. M.T. gets full credit for this one, it was her idea, and putting the Jabba-enslaved, scantily clad Leia figurine in a pool seemed an obvious match.
Hagrid's puppy Fluffy joined the dog show, dwarfing another large pup from, I'm pretty sure, one of the Bellville sets, precursors to Friends.
And about those giant killer rabbits I riffed on yesterday ... I forgot I actually had two large rabbits from some other set (Bellville again, I suspect) when I wrote that blog, and couldn't resist after I found them last night. They are about the right size to begin filmed Lego Friends Night of the Lepus. Be afraid ...
