Oz Sisterhood presents gift to General Hospital

The Sisterhood of Congregation Ohav Zedek presented an electric candelabra to Patient Services at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Each week the Sabbath is ushered in by the lighting of Sabbath candles and the same is true for major holidays. Since it is not appropriate to have candles burning in a hospital room, the electric candelabra is lit by patients. It is made available upon request. Rabbi Raphael Nemetsky is the spiritual leader of Congregation Ohav Zedek. At the presentation, first row, from left, are: Jackie Mager, Lila Kanter, Carolyn Mertz.
