WILKES-BARRE TWP. – Township police reported the following:

• Security at the Walmart at Wilkes-Barre Township Marketplace reported at 5:43 p.m. Friday that a man stole $250 in merchandise and fled the store.

• Ashley Walker reported at 9:28 a.m. Saturday that someone stole her 2001 Mercedes from a location on Shannon Street.

• Shaun Butler, 32, of Wilkes-Barre, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after he was allegedly found to be in possession of suspected crack cocaine in the lot behind Turkey Hill Minit Mart on Wilkes-Barre Township Boulevard at 1:02 p.m. Saturday, police said.

• Shelley Koble reported at 1:21 a.m. Sunday that a woman had entered her vehicle while it was parked at Walmart and stole her purse. The estimated value of the theft was $500.
