She is a graduate of North Pocono High School and earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Pennsylvania State University.

The prospective groom is the son of Joseph Satkowski, Avoca, and Barbara Bonczek, Pittston.

He is a graduate of Pittston Area High School and earned an associate's degree in broadcast communications from Luzerne County Community College and a bachelor's degree in sport and recreation management from Keystone College.

A fall wedding is being planned.
