Pedestrian struck by a vehicle in Edwardsville

EDWARDSVILLE -- Police are investigating an incident of a person struck by a car around 6 p.m. on Route 11 in Edwardsville near the Wendy's fast food restaurant.

The roadway is shut down and fire trucks and police cruisers are on the scene. A sneaker can be seen in the middle of the roadway in an area that's been marked off by police.
