Plymouth Council 984, Knights of Columbus, recently held a social meeting. Dennelle Ripka spoke to the members on behalf of the Wyoming Valley Children's Association regarding Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS), a neurological speech disorder that affects a child's ability to clearly and correctly produce syllables and words. Ripka's daughter has been diagnosed with the disorder. The Knights made a donation to the organization to help support research and provide speech therapy to the children. At the meeting, from left: Grand Knight Matt Owazany, Dennelle Ripka, Sierra Ripka, John Ripka and Deputy Grand Knight Patrick Stiadle.
