HANOVER TWP. – Timothy Soto of Boland Avenue on Sunday reported the battery was stolen from his 1997 Honda Civic overnight. The terminal wires were cut. Soto could not provide police with the make or model of the battery. Anyone with information about the theft is asked to contact the Hanover Township Police Department at 570 825-1254.
PLYMOUTH TWP. – State police filed charges against James Henry Suprum, 24, of Wilkes-Barre, after he allegedly tried to break into a house on East Poplar Street late Saturday night.
The homeowner caught Suprum trying to gain entry around 10:35 p.m., state police said. Suprum was charged with burglary, criminal trespass and loitering and prowling at night and committed to the Luzerne County Correctional Facility, state police said. The investigation continues, state police said.
PLAINS TWP. – Township police reported the following:
• A patron damaged the men's restroom at the Overpour Bar on South River Street early Saturday morning.
A man smashed a mirror, removed a urinal and knocked down a partition, causing water damage. The investigation is continuing.
• A female juvenile will be petitioned to juvenile court on charges of burglary, criminal trespass and criminal mischief. Around 2:45 a.m. Saturday, Esther Anderson of Warner Street reported her house was burglarized and damaged by the juvenile.
• Around 2:10 a.m. Sunday, Steve Dice of Rock Glen said a window on his vehicle was smashed while it was parked at the Twist on state Route 315 and his wife's purse was stolen.
