WILKES-BARRE – Police said Eleanor Pearce struck a legally parked vehicle on Johnson Street as she turned onto the road from North Washington Street in a 2000 Subaru at 3:53 p.m. Friday.

Snow-covered roads contributed to the accident, police said. Pearce was not injured and her vehicle was towed from the scene, police said.

HAZLE TWP. – State police filed possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia charges against William Fedd Jr., 19, of Pittsburgh, following a traffic stop on Interstate 81 Saturday.

State police stopped Fedd's vehicle for speeding and driving in the left lane without passing other vehicles, they said.

Troopers detected an odor of marijuana while speaking with Fedd, police said.

Fedd consented to a search, and state police found approximately 15 grams of suspected marijuana and a marijuana grinder inside the vehicle, police said.
