â?¢ Driving under the influence charges are pending against Jonathan Williams, 32, Second Avenue, Kingston. He was stopped for speeding on South River Street around 12:45 a.m. Wednesday. He told police he was speeding because he had to urinate. Williams showed signs of alcohol impairment and was arrested. He was taken to Wilkes-Barre General Hospital for a blood-alcohol test and was released. His driverâ??s license was suspended for a previous drunken driving charge.
â?¢ Police responded to a domestic dispute just after midnight Monday at 102 N. Main St., where they arrested Laura Ruby, 33, and charged her with simple assault and harassment after her boyfriend, Richard Musko, 50, reported that Ruby punched him and bit his arm. Ruby was lodged at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for overnight arraignment, police said.
HAZLETON â?? For the second time in four days, a robbery was reported at the Turkey Hill on Alter Street.
City police said a white male dressed in dark clothing entered the store just before 4:30 a.m. Tuesday and brandished a weapon at the clerk. The man demanded money and cigarettes and fled the store.
The store was robbed at 2 a.m. Friday by two men brandishing a firearm, police said.
