NANTICOKE - A woman was taken to a hospital late Wednesday night to have a dart removed from her leg, police said.

Police arrested the woman's husband, John Wojciechowski, 40, for throwing the dart at his wife during a dispute.

Wojciechowski was charged with two counts of simple assault, and one count each of reckless endangerment, resisting arrest and possession instruments of crime. He was jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for lack of $10,000 bail.

Police said the woman claimed Wojciechowski was drunk and playing loud music. When she turned down the music, Wojciechowski threw a dart that became embedded in her leg above her knee, according to the criminal complaint.
