HANOVER TWP. – Township police and the Luzerne County Drug Task Force on Friday announced the arrest of two people and the issuance of warrants for two others on charges they were peddling crack cocaine in the Marion Terrace apartment complex.
Gloria Rios Deleon, 30, and Timothy J. Smith, 31, both of Poplar Street, Wilkes-Barre, were arrested Feb. 11 after they allegedly conspired to sell crack cocaine in a parking lot at King's Road and the Sans Souci Parkway.
Deleon arrived in a Chevrolet Equinox at the lot, where two bags of crack cocaine allegedly were sold for $100, according to the criminal complaints. Smith allegedly told the buyer that It was good stuff, the complaints say.
Agents allege in the complaint the Chevrolet was searched with a drug-sniffing canine that uncovered two bags of marijuana in Deleon's purse.
Deleon was charged with two counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, and one count each of possession of a controlled substance and criminal conspiracy. Smith was charged with criminal conspiracy with intent to deliver a controlled substance.
They remained jailed Friday at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for lack of $50,000 bail.
Arrest warrants were issued for Mark Kendel Adams, 23, also known as Money, and Jabarr Bernard Williams, 23, also known as K, both of Elmwood Avenue, Philadelphia.
Drug agents allege Adams and Williams were working with Deleon and Smith in the peddling of crack cocaine.
