Allied Services/Heinz Rehabilitation Center recently presented a program on brain and spinal cord injuries to the Health Related Technology and Law Enforcement Police Science classes at West Side Career and Technology Center, Pringle. The ‘Think First Program of Northeastern Pennsylvania' is modeled after the award-winning American Association of Neurological Surgeons and Congress of Neurological Surgeons. The program is designed to provide students with basic training about brain and spinal cord injuries. The program was presented by Matthew Banford, assistant director of occupational therapy, and Laura Kintner, occupational therapist and certified brain specialist.
