Rhynard, Kravitz

Brian and Diane Rhynard, Oakdale, Conn., announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Melissa, to Gary Kravitz, Colchester, Conn.

Gary is the son of Edward and Leonardine Kravitz, Plains Township.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Cranston High School West, Cranston, R.I., and Rhode Island College, where she studied elementary education. She is a fourth-grade teacher in the Norwich Public School District in Norwich, Conn.

The prospective groom is a graduate of Bishop Hoban High School, Wilkes-Barre, Pa., and West Chester University, West Chester, Pa., where he studied communications. He is employed at ESPN in Bristol, Conn., where he works in production.

The couple will exchange vows on Aug. 3, 2013, at St. Matthew Church, Bristol, Conn. The ceremony will be followed by a reception at the Aqua Turf Club, Plantsville, Conn.
