District 2 announced on its website Sunday that all scheduled playoff games for Monday were postponed due to Hurricane Sandy.
This includes tournament games in boys soccer, girls soccer and girls volleyball.
Make-up dates have not yet been announced for the postponed games. Games for Tuesday and beyond remain scheduled.
Class 3A and A girls volleyball is still scheduled for Tuesday. Future games in boys and girls soccer brackets and girls volleyball have not yet been changed.
Thursday's district championship field hockey games are still on the slate as well.
Officials rules interpretation meetings scheduled for Monday have also been postponed. Basketball officials will now meet at 7 p.m. on Nov. 5, at Wilkes-Barre CTC. Swim officials will now meet Nov. 5, at 7 p.m., at Pittston Area High School.
Emily Simms' goal in overtime was the difference maker as the Nanticoke Strikers won.
The Strikers will play Plains this coming Saturday for the championship.
Forty Fort won in a penalty kick shootout.
John Sarris, Martin Cryan and Colin Conway scored on penalties for Forty Fort.
Garret Wardle and Ethan Cegelka scored on penalties for Plains.
