(AP) The Dutch coast guard is resuming a search for missing crew members of a cargo ship that sank after a collision in the North Sea on Wednesday night but the search is only to recover 7 missing bodies.

Peter Westenberg of the Dutch Coast Guard said Thursday that given the water temperature and the amount of time that's passed, we don't have any hope for more survivors. Stormy weather is easing.

The 148-meter (485-foot) Baltic Ace collided with the 134-meter (440-foot) Corvus J in darkness 65 kilometers (40 miles) off the coast of the southern Netherlands. The cause is not known. The Baltic Ace was forced to abandon ship as it sank quickly.

Four bodies were found Thursday, and 11 survivors were rescued.

Planes, helicopters and ships are assisting.
