CUYAHOGA FALLS, Ohio – After the first day of the Walsh Ironman Tournament, Wyoming Seminary is in second place with 76 points. The only team ahead of the Blue Knights is nemesis Blair Academy, which has scored 90 points so far.

The Blue Knights will have work to do if they are to overtake the Buccaneers. Seminary has six of its 13 participating wrestlers still alive in the championship bracket and will open this morning in the quarterfinals.

The biggest winner of Friday's action for the Knights came at 152 pounds when freshman Chris Weiler defeated top-seeded and defending PIAA Champion Garrett Hammond from Chambersburg 10-8 in the first round. That was Weiler's first of three wins on the day to advance to the quarterfinals.

Also for the Blue Knights, Judson Preskitt (126 pounds), Nicky Hall (160), Eric Morris (182), Garrett Ryan (220) and Michael Johnson (285) are in the quarters.
