The Wyoming Seminary student government recently held its annual Thanksgiving basket project, a 45-year-tradition at the school. Included in the project were donations received at the school's Thanksgiving chapel. Students shopped for turkeys and other food items, packed the items in the school dining hall and distributed them directly to nine families identified by Commonwealth HomeHealth and Hospice Care. Baskets were delivered to Wilkes-Barre, Pittston, Harveys Lake, Plymouth, Hunlock Creek, Noxen, White Haven and Larksville. Government officers Ben Hornung, Forty Fort, junior class vice president, and Madison Sweitzer, Dallas, sophomore class president, organized this year's project.
