(AP) A state rescue official says a suicide bomber has attacked a Shiite Muslim procession near Pakistan's capital, killing 23 people.
Deeba Shahnaz says the bombing occurred around midnight Wednesday in the city of Rawalpindi, located next to the capital Islamabad. At least 62 people were wounded by the blast.
Shahnaz said Thursday that the procession had just left a Shiite place of worship when the attack occurred.
