The Evanses

George and Donna Evans, Shavertown, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Nov. 3, 2012. They were married on Nov. 3, 1962, by the Rev. Duane H. Collins in Westminster Presbyterian Church, Wilkes-Barre.

Mrs. Evans is the former Donna Berryman, daughter of the late James and Mary Berryman, Lake Wallenpaupack. Mr. Evans is the son of the late George and Martha Evans, Wilkes-Barre. Both are retired.

The couple has three children, Dr. Mark Evans and his wife, Danelle, Rochester, N.Y.; Lesley Wooddy and her husband, Charles, Rock Hill, S.C.; and Kimberly Zikowski and her husband, Danny, Harveys Lake. They also have three grandchildren, Lauren, 9; Gianna, 7, and Jeremy, 4.

The couple will celebrate with an anniversary dinner and a trip to Niagara Falls, N.Y. and Canada.
