The Maranskys

Martin and Glenda Maransky, Sweet Valley, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Dec. 1, 2012. They were married in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Lake Silkworth. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Stanislas Banas.

Glenda is the daughter of the late Lester and Marguerite Ruckle, Shickshinny.

Martin is the son of the late Michael and Mary Maransky, Sweet Valley. He worked as a union carpenter out of Local 645, retiring in 2003.

The couple are the parents of two children, Michael and his wife, Amy, Glen Allen, Va., and Martin Chris and his wife, Michelle, Trucksville. They have three grandchildren, Nicole, Nathan and Matthew.

A family dinner will be held to celebrate the anniversary.
