Pastor and Mrs. Richard Metcalf celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Nov. 10, 2012. The couple was married in the First Baptist Church, Kingston. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. William Howie.


Mrs. Metcalf is the former Barbara Freeman, daughter of the late Walter and Marie Freeman.


Pastor Metcalf is the son of the late John and Catherine Metcalf.


On their 20th anniversary they celebrated with a renewal of their wedding vows at the former Community Bible Church, Dallas. The Rev. William Howie officiated.


Pastor Metcalf has served in the ministry for over 50 years and is pastoring at Faith Bible Church, Pikes Creek.


Mrs. Metcalf has worked for the state government as a hearing stenographer for the Bureau of Unemployment Compensation and is associated with Lewith and Freeman as an associate broker.


The couple celebrated their anniversary with a trip to Alaska, joined by her sister, Ada, and her brother-in-law, Jim Hoyt, who celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on July 7, 2012.
