Mr. and Mrs. Victor Nardone, Plains Township, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Oct. 27, 2012. The couple was married in the former Sacred Heart Church, Plains Township.
Mrs. Norma Nardone is the daughter of Mary Barbacci and the late Armando Barbacci, Plains Township.
Mr. Nardone is the son of the late Joseph Nardone and the late Raphaela Nardone, Old Boston.
Mrs. Nardone earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Misericordia College. She was a chemistry teacher at Seton Catholic High School, Pittston.
Mr. Nardone earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Scranton and a Master of Science degree from Wilkes College. He was an electrical engineer with RCA/General Electric/Harris Corporation, Mountain Top.
The couple has four children: David and his wife, Jean Marie, with sons Steven and Alex, New Castle, Del.; Maria and her husband, Michael Olsakowski, with children Melissa, Megan and Michael, Randolph, N.J.; Lisa and her husband, George Yager, and sons John and Tommy, Randolph, N.J.; and Jim and his wife, Tricia, and sons Jason and Vince, Charlottesville, Va.
A family celebration was held at Cafe Toscana following a Mediterranean cruise and a renewing of marital vows in the Sistine Chapel in Vatican City.
