The season of dinosaurs and friends (Lego Time!)
Last Modified: February 19. 2013 7:17PM
The annual Lego Layout work began in earnest Saturday with rough plating and position of the monorail, dragged out because, somehow, a train didn't seem the right fit for a layout sporting the new Dino series on one side and girl-friendly Friends on the other. I'll probably modify the monorail passenger car (already a modification made years ago) to make it a more open-view service.
Sunday night I got fixated on making a wall separating the dinosaurs from the Friendly village, and decided to install a large diagonal gate just big enough to accommodate the giant four-wheel Dino vehicle suitable for transporting Triceratops.
And Monday night I got the monorail fixed in position and running, then spontaneously started building a station for it, using what I suspect is a rare plate that came with some summer resort style house (I filled in a little pool to make platform, and used two quarters of an old flying saucer top for a see-through roof, pieces I haven't used in ages.
