WILKES-BARRE – Team YFB may be entering the world of entrepreneurship in a small way -- they'll be selling glow-in-the-dark lanyards for three months starting January -- but it is thinking big. Just ask what YFB stands for.

Your Future Boss, freshman Ryan Price explained with a chuckle. We thought we'd have some fun with it.

Price and fellow freshmen in the Wilkes University Sidhu School of Business donned their best power suits, set up displays in the hallway of Brieseth Hall on Monday, and test-drove their sales pitches for real businesses they will launch after returning from Christmas break. It's a requirement for all students in Integrated Management Experience classes; they get a small budget, do some research, come up with a product or service and provide it through March.

Any profits are donated to the charity of the team's choice. For Team YFB, that will be Relay for Life, a global fundraising program for the American Cancer Society.

Other teams offered woman's athletic shorts, glow-in-the-dark sweatpants, T-shirts and dorm laundry service, complete with pickup and drop-off. This being a generation of digital natives, there were Facebook pages and Twitter addresses for the businesses, ready to be shown off courtesy of iPads.

Over at Team Awesome, assistant professor Justin Matus quizzed Michael Paskas and Nicklas Kocman about their Wilkes tank tops, with It's called Wilkes-Barre for a reason on the back and a taunt of Wilkes' crosstown rival on the front: King's who?

Kocman said the shirts will sell for $15 each, at a profit of $4.10 that will go toward Autism Speaks. Matus seemed fairly impressed, but saw an issue that could keep him from being a customer.

There's only one problem, Matus said. I went to King's.
