Three people arrested, more than $60,000 in illegal drugs seized

WILKES-BARRE - Three people were arrested and a large amount of heroin and crack were seized in a drug sweep by the state police at Wyoming Vice and Narcotics Unit on Wednesday.

State police arrested Bryan Pearl, 30, and Angel Holley, 23, both from Long Island, N.Y., and Tracy Smith, 37, of Wilkes-Barre.

More than 1,100 heroin packets, 29 grams of uncut heroin, 40 grams of crack, 47 grams of cocaine, $1,330 cash and approximately $10,000 in video surveillance equipment were seized when state police executed two search warrants at 27 Dougher Lane and 58 N. Hancock St. just after 6 a.m.

State police said the illegal drugs has a street value of $60,000.

The two buildings were condemned for unsafe living conditions by the Wilkes-Barre Neighborhood Impact Team.

More arrests are expected, state police said.
