Tracy, Medico are named MVPs by WVC coaches

The Wyoming Valley Conference Golf Coaches selected their annual All-Star team with Pittston Area's Ryan Tracy and Holy Redeemer's Mariano Medico earning MVP honors in Class 3A and 2A, respectively.

Joining Tracy as a 3A selection by the mentors is the trio of Shamus Gartley, Mike Post and Daulton Lentini from WVC 3A team champion Coughlin. Wyoming Valley West is also represented with three players in Chris McCue, Colin Harrison and Evan Pirillo. Berwick's Matt Dalo and Brian Bridge, Dallas' Ryan Georgetti, and Crestwood's Billy Dombroski round out the 3A honorees, while Coughlin's Mike Galli was selected as the top coach in the classification.

Two teammates of Medico for the District 2 Class 2A champion and state runner-up Royals were selected in Chase Makowski and Matt Slavoski.

Wyoming Area's Zach Mulhern and Courtney Melvin, Wyoming Seminary's Andrew Golden and Frank Henry, Hanover Area's Matt Kocher and Matt Kuhl, and Meyers' Will Amesbury and Dan Conrad were also picked for the notoriety in Class 2A, while Redeemer coach Art Brunn Jr. was named the coach.

The coaches also selected honorable mention picks in Matt Carroll, Chris Lynch, Calvin O'Boyle, all from Pittston Area; Jake Popowycz and Joe Hurn, Crestwood; Rudy Georgetti, Dallas; Ty Morzilla, Berwick; Chris Nixon, Wyoming Valley West; Mike Boland and Ryan Crossin, Holy Redeemer; Nick Egan, Lake-Lehman; Chris Jones and Kyle Cunard, Hanover Area; Race Sick and Brent Christy, Tunkhannock.
