Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has issued driver alerts for I-81 bouth north and south in Lackawanna and Luzerne counties. Delays are expected and alternate routes, including the turnpike, should be used if possible.

Northbound at exit 155 (Dorrance) there is a single lane restriction for concrete repairs until 2:30 p.m.
Also from exit 168 (Highland Park Blvd) to Exit 175 (Dupont/Pittston) there will be line painting until 2 p.m.

Southbound from exit 185 (Central Scranton Expressway) to exit 180 (Moosic) there is a single lane closure for base repair until 3 p.m. This work was originally scheduled to be northbound today and is now being switched to southbound.
And from exit 175 (Dupont/Pittston) to exit 164 (Nanticoke) there will be line painting until 2 p.m.
