UPDATE 2:23 p.m.

SCRANTON - Attorneys for former judges Mark Ciavarella and Michael Conahan have filed motions to withdraw their guilty pleas.

The motions, filed this afternoon, come several hours after Senior U.S. District Judge Edwin Kosik denied a motion to reconsider his decision to reject plea agreements the judges had reached with federal prosecutors.

SCRANTON - A federal judge has denied a motion that asked him to reconsider his decision to reject the plea agreement of former Luzerne County judges Mark Ciavarella and Michael Conahan.

Senior U.S. District Judge Edwin Kosik entered the order this morning.
