Valley West tops Patriots

YATESVILLE — Wyoming Valley West fought through three tight games before putting away host Pittston Area in the fourth, earning a 3-1 win on Wednesday in a WVC girls volleyball match.

The Spartans won by scores of 29-27, 25-23, 20-25, 25-17.

Gabby Gadomski led the Spartans with 16 assists and 14 service points.

Jackie Rabender had 18 service points and 10 assists for the Patriots.
