Philip Victor and Jenifer Sekar were married on Jan. 9, 2012, in Thanjavur, India, at Holy Comforter's Lutheran Church.
Following a months-long wait for her visa, Jeni arrived in the U.S. in late 2012.
The couple had their wedding reception on Dec. 22, 2012, at the Transfiguration Church Hall in Nanticoke, Pa., and celebrated with close friends and family.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. D. Sekar and Mrs. Rosy Sekar and the sister of Sam David Giftson. She is also the granddaughter of Mr. R. Dhanraj and Mrs. Mary Dhanraj and Mr. J. Moses and Mrs. Flora Moses.
The groom is the son of the Rev. Justin Victor and Mrs. Juliet Victor and brother of Joshua Victor and Jaclyn Victor. He is also the grandson of the Rev. Athisayam David Victor and Mrs. Julia Victor and the late J. Dharmaraj and late Ruth Dharmaraj.
Jeni is from Thanjavur, India, and completed her master's degree in nursing from Annamalai University in Chidambaram, Tamil Nadu.
Philip grew up in Nanticoke, Pa., and attended Greater Nanticoke Area High School. He graduated with a dual Bachelor of Arts degree in mass communications and political science from King's College, Wilkes-Barre, Pa. He works as a senior web producer for CBSNewYork.com in Manhattan, N.Y.
The couple, who resides in Jersey City, N.J., gives all thanks and praise to Jesus Christ for uniting them in holy matrimony and bringing them together as one.
