PLAINS TWP. -- Approval of support, service and maintenance pacts dominated a meeting at the Wilkes-Barre Career & Technical Center Monday.
The school’s joint operating committee renewed several maintenance agreements, including:
• Guyette Communication, $295, annual telephone guaranteed maintenance agreement.
• Presstek, $9,275, maintenance agreement on graphic arts two color press and digital silver plate maker.
• Skyward, $2,598, Dell hardware and e-mail server maintenance through Dec. 31, 2011 and $481, Dell hardware tape drive maintenance through Dec. 1, 2012.
• GovConnection, $2,257, support and maintenance on e-mail spam filter for three years.
• Lancaster Lebanon IU 13, $2,895 for 250 End Point Security and control licenses through March 2013.
Other agreements approved included $2,669 to Accu-Weather Inc. for advanced weather warnings for the 2010-11 school year and a three-year lease agreement with Apple Computers for 25 i-Macs for the graphic arts area at a cost of $10,144 per year.
In other business, the board approved Frank Majikes as night school coordinator for adult evening school for 400 hours as per the wage and salary policy. Rosemary Fratti and Cheryl Thomas will share the night school secretary position and split 200 hours plus up to an additional 25 hours total, pending need and funds.
The committee also approved payment of $1,911 to Raymond Wendolowski for legal services.
